AVOS Productions began with co-founder David De Paz's early passion for event entertainment. At just nine years old, David started DJing at his father's bar in the Southside of San Antonio, Texas. This formative experience ignited both his love for music and his commitment to creating unforgettable moments—a dedication that would shape his entire career in event production.
After gaining extensive experience across Texas music venues and entertainment companies, David partnered with long-time friend Luis to address a growing need in the Austin and San Antonio event market. They identified an opportunity for an innovative AV production company that prioritized immersive, sensory-driven experiences over conventional event services.
In 2014, this vision became reality with the founding of AVOS Productions. Serving Austin, San Antonio, and South Texas, our company was built on a simple principle: transform ordinary events into extraordinary experiences through cutting-edge AV technology, creative design, and passionate execution.

Luis Plascencia
Co-Founder & Creative Director
Luis brings over a decade of event production and AV design expertise to AVOS Productions. A native of Laredo, Texas, he moved to San Antonio to study at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
His architectural training provides a unique foundation for creating immersive, structurally-sound event environments and stage designs. Combined with extensive experience in marketing and audio-visual production, Luis plays a critical role in shaping the creative vision and technical execution for Austin and San Antonio events.
As co-founder of our family-owned AV company, Luis ensures every project—from corporate AV installations to Texas wedding productions—blends innovative design with flawless technical delivery.
David De Paz

David is a San Antonio native whose passion for event production was shaped by two iconic Texas cities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin, immersing himself in the city's legendary live music culture and creative community while studying.
His time at UT Austin provided more than a degree—it offered a front-row seat to Austin's vibrant event ecosystem. From Sixth Street venues to campus concerts and city-wide festivals, David gained firsthand insight into what makes Austin events uniquely engaging. This experience now directly informs his approach to producing corporate events, weddings, and productions throughout Austin.
David's entertainment journey began even earlier, DJing at his father's San Antonio bar at just nine years old. This dual foundation—San Antonio's hospitality roots and Austin's creative energy—fuels his work today. As co-founder of AVOS Productions, he blends strategic insight from his government studies with two decades of music industry experience to craft exceptional experiences for Austin clients.
